1) Do I need an account?

No. PaceLedger works without an account for core features.

2) Where is my data stored?

Your transactions and budgets are stored locally on your device (offline-first).

3) How do I back up my data?

Backup options depend on the build/version. If you don’t see an in-app backup/export option yet, your safest current approach is:

If you have an export/import feature in your version, use that. Otherwise, data transfer may require device migration/system backup. (Cloud sync may be added in future versions.)
